Chandra Bhagat Pharma Pvt. Ltd. a well-established Pharmaceutical Company founded by Mr. Chandravadan C. Bhagat, in the town of Surat in Gujarat. He is an entrepreneur with a imposing record of more than 6 decades devoted to offering a speciality range of Life Saving Medicines to the Indian Market. He began his career as a manufacturing chemist, but soon realised that the pharmaceutical industry dominated by commercial MNC’s was interested in importing only fast selling products such as vitamins and tonics - and not much of life-saving medicine. Mr. Bhagat’s sense of personal mission drove him to fill this gap by taking up the import of critical lifesaving medicine from reputed global companies. Eventually, his network of contacts with Pharma companies worldwide became a valuable resource with even the Government of India requesting his help during national calamities. For the assistance he rendered, he received much praise and appreciation from the government.
In 2003, the company decided to move up the value chain and set up its own marketing force with a wide portfolio of products from Antibiotics to Anti-neoplastics and from Cardiovascular to Hormones started. Today, the company’s products have been very well accepted in the marketplace and, Chandra Bhagat Pharma Ltd. enjoys an eminent place in the life saving medicine space. We have a dedicated and enthusiastic Marketing team of 300 members, which exerts itself to make the story successful for the company and the strength is still growing. |

In its sixty - five years illustrious history, the Company has the distinction of introducing for the first time in the
country :
- Anti Tetanus Serum
- Anti Diphtheria Sera
- Oral Poliomyelitis Vaccine (OPV) in (1961)
- Measles Vaccine (1979)
- Human Diploid Rabies Vaccine (1981)
- MMR (1984)
The most satisfying and noteworthy achievement of the company and its late Founder - Director Mr. C. C. Bhagat were the occasions the company responded to the urgent request of the Government for urgently required medicine. This happened on two occasions; the first was in the year 1984 when during a severe epidemic in the country, the company responded to the government’s urgent request and supplied Meningococcal A+C Vaccine in just 48 hours!
On another occasion, a severe earthquake had claimed thousands of lives in Latur and Osmanabad districts of Maharashtra and the Sate Government made a special request for urgent supply of Anti gas gangrene serum – again in less than 48 hours! |
